Metlox   Pepper Tree


Metlox "Pepper Tree", designed by Allen and Shaw, is in the Navajo shape, inspired by Native American art work of the American Southwest. The stylistic features of this shape are wide raised rims on plates; steep vertical sides on bowls; straight edges and perpendicular handles. 

The first pattern was "Navajo", Southwestern primitive design reminiscent of "Aztec". Pepper Tree followed with a simple, abstract leaf design. Solid color with two-toned accessory items, and the use of satin glazes with textures and color tints.
