Vernon Ware produced California Shadows, in the San Marino shape, from 1953 to 1955. Marketing sales brochure describes California Shadows as a "Color Contrast in the Modern Manner - a unique, modern border in contrasting shades of Cocoa Brown on a tawny coral background, creates a subtle, different pattern for contemporary tables". California Shadows was produced in two colors, Cocoa Brown and Antique Gray.
