Oasis was produced from 1954 to 1962. This pattern was designed by George James, utilizing the Eclipse shape, Oasis is a heavy weight dinnerware line. Elliptical in form, Oasis is decorated in a 1950s modern motif. It features light blue, gray and charcoal lines, fading squares and asterisks on a white speckled background. Available in fifty shapes, like its cousin Starburst, Oasis represents one of the best of the 1950s American dinnerware lines.

The Oasis advertisement from 1956 describes the collection:
"Make every meal a special occasion with Franciscan Ware. This is Oasis in famous Franciscan Ware. Oven-safe. Dishwasher-safe. Reflecting the blues of an inland sea against a white sand background ... on the compelling, contemporary shapes of America's best-known dinnerware".
